I had an agreement with the month of August that we were going to friends. However we started off with a major life disappointment. I stood my ground and reminded August of the pact we had made. I had another major disappointment in week 2; and yet again i stood knowing August will not fail me. I undertook another major task in week 3 and I’m currently waiting for feedback. Question is do you think i still trust the month of August to be good to me? Well my answer is Yes. The bible says in Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” For this reason i choose to speak life into all my situations despite the obstacles along the way. This morning i had a chance to read my daily devotion from Joel Osteen and i would like to share it with you, It read;
“Why don’t you take the limits off of God? Quit thinking of all the reasons why you can’t accomplish your dreams. God breathed His life into you. He’s crowned you with favour. You have seeds of greatness. The prophet Joel said, “Wake up the mighty men.” I’m looking at mighty men, mighty women right now. I’m looking at Josephs and Esthers. God is going to put you in strategic positions to affect the culture. Stir your faith up, believe big, pray bold prayers, dream God-sized dreams”.
So today i just want to encourage many of you who just like me are undertaking major life decisions but things seem to be going astray. Do not give up; the Lord will bear fruit in due time but it is important for you to keep the faith during the hard times for in due season the hard times will be a testimony. I pray that the Lord sends the Holy spirit our encourager to help you during such times because i know sometimes it gets so hard.
